When I bought the juicer it was only £120. I had seen it for this price in a shop in Germany and was glad to find this special offer online. I might spend £159 as well, if I had no choice, but glad that I didn't have to. The juicer is well made and when I make juice I can see little steam escaping, so all the energy goes into juicing. I have one apple tree and there is a lot of windfall, which I otherwise throw on the compost. It is for these apples, essentially, that I bought the juicer. I got 1.7 l from 4 kg of apples, which I think is quite good. The first lot went hot into a sterilised bottle and I still have to wait if it lasts. I intend to open it after 12 months to see if it is still OK (I hope it doesn't explode earlier ;-)). Initially there was just some 1.2 l and I was a bit disappointed and I left the pot standing over night. What I had not expected is that the next morning, gravity had extracted another half litre of juice. This was of course cold, so I had to drink it within a few days. For one batch I removed the pips from the apples and ate the steamed apple as compot - it was really delicious. For me the juicer works and I am happy to recommend it.Read full review
